I had some 1" wide brackets about a 16 ga. steel.. raduised on one end with a hole I mounted to the fender stud (drivers side) and radiator fill tank bolt (pass side). 3M taped the ballast to them. Didn't find any flat surface I was comfortable enough with myself. Haven't heard any rattling yet..
