Actually, Mobile 1 5W50 is approved for MB 229.3 (or .5, I forget).
I researched this last year and it is, indeed, approved.

But there is no way in hell I'd put anything thicker in there OR anything not approved by .3 or .5

In fact, I can honestly say that it would be the ONLY other oil my car would ever get.
But just try to FIND it anywhere....




DZL... are you watching your oil pressure? I think you'd be surprised to see how high it already is with 0W40 in there. (I have a gauge on my car.)
