On a 1200 mile trip to Florida, strickly highway driving at around 70 mph average, I registered 28.3 mpg as per my UltraGuage monitor.

I did not push it (much), and had the A/C on for about 1/2 the drive time...

I'm thinking if I kept it at 55 mph, I'd push on close to 30 mpg, but my head would explode from the utter boredom...

No one should be buying these cars for the gas mileage, if that's your primary concern, your missing the big picture...
