You can take out the liner yourself, and probably prep it yourself, but unless you have experience, I do not recommend wrapping it yourself because of the compound, deep curves up by the visors, the material will want to pull away. My friend does 10-15 headliners a month at his shop and it took him over an hour to do mine. I have wrapped several parts and prefer to do things on the car myself, but this was one of those times where it just makes sense to have it done right the first time because IIRC the fiber board headliner itself is north of $500 to replace.

The 77 will work just fine.

Good luck, it looks AMAZING when it is done. Keep in mind you will need new visors too, the light gray looks silly IMO against the CF, I used black SLK32 visors in mine...
