After a couple of seconds I realized the car had cut off. I was able to roll about 2 miles to the bottom of an exit ramp and shut everything off. I tried to start it a couple of times, it turned over, but wouldn't start. I got out & checked under the hood to see if I could see any noticable problem, everything looked fine. I was all ready to call a tow truck, but decided to try the starter again & it started, but the check engine light came on. I drove the last 15 miles to my friends house, he lives down the street from an Advance Auto, so I went there and got them to check the code. It was "crankshaft Position sensor fail". I had never read this thread, but remembered people on this site mentioning this as a common problem. So thank you CrossfireForum.org. I bought a sensor from Advance Auto for $60, then drove the 35 miles home with no problem. When I got home I read this thread and decided to order the Bosch part from ebay since the Advance Auto one was made in Taiwan. (Thanks for that bit of info also guys). Hopefully I won't have any problems til the part comes in.
Must be a bad day for CPS .. mine decided to play I don't wanna game this morning.. Ebay should have mine here between Wednesday and Friday. Think the Harley is going to be getting some road time. Two lanes of barracaded construction building a new bridge here.. would be a prime spot to die and end up with with a shorter crossfire.
