Harley's are a little big for me, except the sportster's... I went and looked at a 1200 the other day just to see how I fit. It was big but the 883 would probably fit very nicely.
2000 Model Sportster 1200C myself.. Lowered 1" with progressive shocks..much better than stock! 883 might be right up your ally as the 1200 likes 91 octane juice while the 883 is happy with 87. And later if you decide you want more juice you can always do a 1200 kit like a lot of owners do.

Oh and if the Sportster fits .. your probably like me on "fit".. don't throw a leg over a Heritage.. LOL.
