Replaced the batteries, no luck.

Did some searching around this site and popped my hood by using a ratchet wrench. Checked a few fuses (all fine) and tried to jump the battery (which I assumed wasn't dead because the lights/alarm started going off like crazy when I popped the hood)

I still couldn't get into the car.

Does anybody have a potential solution to this problem? I've seen some people around the boards who have been locked out of their cars but usually with a dead battery, that doesn't seem to be the case here...

Thanks

I notice that you never answered the last problem you had, I hope that is not going to be the same outcome here. The last one was a problem with the serpentine belt. We like to know that the problem was solved, we learn and you learn.

If the key does not turn in the door then there must be a lock seizure problem or the key was replaced when the ignition lock was changed without updating the door lock.

If the fob does not work it may be caused by the quite common problem of water in the trunk and that has caused the security system control module, which is located in the trunk well on the passenger side, to cease functioning properly.

Do you hear any hissing noise when the fob is actuated? This could be at the door or at the top of the hatch.
