Because I don't drive the car much, and it had 18000 miles on it at the time, I took it for 50000 miles (an additional 32000 miles) with a $50 deductible, and paid $1900 for the piece of mind. When this runs out in August of 2013, my only choice will be a 3rd party insurance, because (as explained to me) Chrysler doesn't offer coverage past the 7 yrs from the "inservice date". As far as I know the only longer coverage offered from them is on the 10 yr extension on the roadster top/window. If their coverage options have changed, please inform me, and the rest of the forum.
Nope... Chrysler will sell you a max care warranty after 7 years. It falls under a used plan and they have to inspect your vehicle first to make sure everything works properly. A correction though... The plan is for an extra 5 years... Not 7. And I got a dealership quote for 2k. This is a 200 dollar deductible.
