Re: Run Flats available?
About a month after I purchased my X-fire in Dec 2003 I hit a small road obstacle resulting in a flat. The repair kit did not work on the problem and I had to call for a flat-bed. The dealership in Dallas took 5 days to find another tire (rear) and the tread didn't match the other 3 tires. I only got 11,000 miles on the original Pilot Sports (with very normal driving) and eventually replaced them. At the, I couldn't find run-flats but they would have been my first choice.
Since that experience, I will not take the car out of the metro area for fear of being stranded. It is a great car but taking it on a long trip is out of the question for me.
