Noticed that no one answered your temperature question :

Half gauge is approx 196 degrees ( normal with A/C on ), it will be just a bit below half when 185 degrees ( normal operating temp )
I have an Ultraguage that displays engine temp, that's how I know what the dash gauge is saying.
