if the key goes bad it could trigger the car into thinking its being stolen. it will crank but wont start. try the second key and if it starts then theres the problem. ask daytona jae about this! he went thru new rcm , ecu and it was the key all along.

I stand behind what I said 100%.

I tested this out by removing the batteries from my remote (just to show here, I knew it would start the car) and left them out for about 1/2 hour then used that battery-less key to start the car. Of course it started without any problem as I expected it would. The batteries are there only to open/close the doors and to hit the panic alarm.
