Looked at the wording on the link and it didnt read like it was relavent, as it bore no relavence to the topic... Nay sayers etc lol
The "tube" the original engine cover-air filter housing fits over in the back of the engine has a "grid" on the top.Pull the cover and look..its staring back at you...that gets removed.. You are correct on MAF... that "tube" you removed the grill from also connects to a 90 degree elbow..that connects to the Throttle Body. There is a screen in there also.
A cold air kit replaces both those components...which in itself aids in it's efficiency ..
And the link tittle.. LOL.. was more representative of the body of the thread.. 6 pages of no ..no...no.. and 1 page of stepped out and did it anyways and all is good..
