It actually says that the load is limited to 400lbs and towing is not recommended. What is easier on the car, having the load in the trunk or behind the car on it's own load carrying suspension? I personally limit my total trailer weight to 500lbs and tongue weight to 50lbs.
In my opinion, a crossfire rear end trailer would weigh far more then the crossfire trunk pans should be asked to carry.
Would be cool if you can work it out!
I agree that if I can keep the tongue weight down and strip out everything I didn't need from donor XF it will work. So if anyone hears of a XF back end for sale let me know.
