I'm trying to follow the sticky ignition key fix document, but my locking pin is not exactly where the photo shows and I can't get the tool in to drill out the pin. The plastic trim around the steering column behind the steering wheel is blocking access. Do I really have to remove the steering wheel and instrument cluster (so says the service manual) to get this trim piece off?
