The adhesive they use now is supposed to be superior to the adhesive available when they built these cars. When my top was repaired, I got a lifetime warranty on it. This problem is not just applicable to Crossfires, but to many cars of that era, that have glass windows fitted, Porche, BMW, Etc.
An Auto upholsterer would repair these rear windows for approx $750, by just taking the top off, adhering the window with the improved adhesive, and refitting the top.
