Thumbs up re: Sticky Ignition Key Fix for all Crossfires 2004 thru 2006

I'm in Australia and can count on one hand the amount of Crossfires I've seen around town, and when my steering locked, I was thinking I'd be spending a fortune to find someone to fix it. But thanks to you guys I was able to print out that awesome pdf of the step by step instructions on how to fix it and gave it to my Dads Cobra Auto Electrician/Mechanic/All around Macguyver and he had it done in 2 hours. Mine didn't have anything replaced. I'm a single girl who covers some decent k's and I don't want it to happen again far from home, and it doesn't worry me that it doesn't lock anymore. I do have a question however.

Does the Crossfire have a timing belt or a timing chain? My other car (Pajero Io) did itself some serious damage when the belt broke (my bad, Mum had cancer and a few other things going on, should've changed it 10000ks before it went) and I live in fear of another engine rebuild. I can't see anywhere in the service schedule on when to change it so was thinking it must be a chain. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

My Crossfire is an 04 with 80000kms on it, just had its 4th service. Having the two cars, means neither really does much work, fingers crossed they both last twice as long
