I agree with Evan. IF anything EVER happens,(GOD FORBID) due to the use of none approved MB oils, it will be too late then to say, F*** I wish I had spent the extral $10-20 or so, and got the right stuff, look what it is costing me NOW. ALSO consider the Oil Change Frequency with alternate oils.

My last Oil change was done with Walmart Mobil 1 0W-40 at $4.28 Liter. ??? Anytime I see it there, at a reasonable price I BUY IT, to stock-up.
These OILS are approved for a reason, change the requirements at your OWN risk. My Crossfires HAVE, and WILL ALWAYS get Mobil 1 0W-40.
I ALWAYS do the Oil changes myself, to make sure it is done properly, with the CORRECT OIL.
