Re: Where's all the UK owners?
I have had my Coupe for exactly a year now and absolutely love it! Just turned 11,000 miles and no problems. I've seen an indicated 145 (with more to come) on a trip across to Nurburgring which perversely also produced the best mpg of 33 I've seen. No complaints about the handling or braking either. I've run it at a couple of trackdays and the grip is amazing - more than a capable of staying with the 911's and Scubis. The brakes on most road cars, even performance orientated ones, are usually shot after 10 laps or so but this was not the case with the Crossfire - the pedal just got slightly softer, but there was no fade. Had to replace both front tyres after the last trackday as I was down to the canvas, and the rears will need changing soon. I opted of P Zero's as the excellent Michelins were unobtainable in time. I haven't really pushed these yet but they seem to tack the white lines more than the Michelins. That has been the only major expense and that's my fault not the car! Sure the steering could have more feel but you can still feel what's going on.
The best part is the reaction you get from people. I'm always being asked what it is or who makes it? Waiting in traffic it's always funny looking in the mirror watching the people in the car behind pointing and squinting to read the badge. The best one was a few months ago when I was asked by a security guy if it was one of the new Aston Martins!
