Meguiar's Ultimate Wax in liquid form (the paste will still stain trim if you get it on there). In fact, if you do get some of the liquid version of this product on the trim it will make it look better, not worse. And it's a 100% synthetic polymer formula that won't just wash off like, well, some other product already mentioned in this thread. You can find it most auto parts stores, Walmart, etc. Just apply it really thin and you'll be fine.
