I figured out by destroying one that they CAN be removed and reused.
You use a pair of needlenose pliers, or a small screwdriver to release the 2 hook portions on each clamp.
You can do like most and just cut them off and put the new filter in with small screw clamps ...
MAKE SURE YOU RELEASE THE PRESSURE FIRST BY REMOVING FUSE 5 FROM THE RELAY CONTROL MODULE AND RUNNING THE ENGINE UNTIL IT STOPS.
