Like a clunking sound, or slack in the drive line when going from reverse to drive? No, no clunking sound or backlash. I noticed the cracking one day while working on the rear suspension. Now that you mention it, I did sense some vibration when cold which would slowly fade away within 5 mins. The front disc has no cracking at all probably because it doesn't flex much at all. It's a cheap fix specially for the DIY and looking at the design, my old disc probably would have lasted another year this way
