I gave up. Removed the splash guard, loosened the bracket, clamped the input line (just in case), and undid the hose crimps. But I couldn't slide the damn hoses off the old filter! Screw it, luckily the hose crimps can be reused. Put everything back and I'll just take it to my local shop.

Ugh...I'm getting rusty.
