Pressure does not come into it, it reaches atmospheric pressure only when the engine is off. Air will get into the system passing the threads when the engine is running.

It just leaks because it is a pipe thread and they do not seal as there are gaps at the bottom of the threads. It's a good job you do not do gas pipe installations.


I have never checked my can yet, I do not expect too much.

It'll soon be time to get the covers out. They put brine down on some roads last week.
