So, they can:
1) find a dealer to fix it and pay (MaCare) for whatever towing is involved.
2) if they can;t fix it, buy it from me, or
3) ???
What are MY options?
The tranny is basically the same as in my 2007 Chrysler 300 and the problem I had was a faulty solenoid in the electrical plate. I had intermittent limp mode and finally it stayed in limp mode all the time.
The dealer rebuilt the solenoid, I'm sure if I had to pay they would have made me buy a new electrical plate.
It is the NAG1 tranny, the Chrysler dealers have seen many. It is fitted to many Chrysler models. Mercedes designed it.
PS
I had the problem at start up and decided to crawl toward the stealership, 2nd gear and limited revs. It took me four times as long to get there it seemed, 25 miles. It took ages.
