The pump and filter are under a plastic cover in the right rear. 3 10mm nuts hold the cover on. The pump is inline not in the tank.
And I was more than happy to point this out after having a shop lower the tank and replace my wife's Tahoe pump with the built in filter.. and $750 at the Chevy dealer (walk out the door with it in a box price!).
(yes I said shop.. floor jack and 120 lbs of fuel didn't seem promising..).
