Whoever says the s2000 ever shipped with a powerful engine (or even more powerful than the M112) has clearly never driven one. The stock engine was rated at under 240hp and less than 200 ft-lbs (translation: gutless high-revving engine) and it felt every bit of that on the road. The only engine that belongs in a Crossfire is a V8, and it's a shame that Diamler had such a stranglehold on Chrysler that such a beast of an engine was out of the question.
