My guess is with the location on the head, this thing is the for the camshaft, and that the text was just mislabeled. Am I right? If so, is there another writeup for the crankshaft position sensor?
The CRANKSHAFT position sensor is at the rear on the drivers side on the bellhousing.
The CAMSHAFT sensor is at the front passenger side on the head.

post #7 is for the CAMSHAFT sensor.
