Re: The Final Word Cold Air Intake. Does It help produce power ???
I do believe in my NeedsWings DCAI. Somewhat related to the topic>I wanted to go a step further and blast the supercharger with outside cold air. It was quite simple to do and looks Bad A$$. From our hoods front nose, just above the chrome wings,I measured over 1 3/4" from each side of the center spine. From that point I drawed out dual 3"x1 1/2" rectangle box shapes. After LOT'S of careful measuring,I took a cable drive Roto Zip to cut away the drawed out area off our hoods outside and parcially cutting the inside bracing. Just parcially cutting into the bracing for the tubing passage way. Then welded the tubing to the cut out area of the hoods bracing, making it stronger than factory. The two pieces of rectangle thin wall tubing fit the cut outs like a glove. After welding in the rectangle tubing, grind the tubing down to match the hoods front nose curve. Still have lots of other types of cooling mods for this hood project. Squirrel Crusher
