Re: Poll: XF satisfaction level
We've logged over 32,000 miles on our '04 with only one minor electrical problem with the interior lighting. It's a daily driver except on snow and ice and it's been our ride of choice on several vacations in the 1,500 to 2,000 mile range. We both absolutely love the car for its styling, build quality and class. We find it surprisingly comfortable and good riding considering the size, short wheelbase, low profile tires and all. (It's much better than we expected for this type of car.) Women and men, girls and boys all seem fascinated by it and we get a lot of questions regarding what it is.
We have had no mechanical problems at all We are still running the original Continental all-season tires but it's about time to replace the rears. It will do 27 mpg all-around even with playing around, and with care has done 29.6.
We bought it new after the 2005s were out and felt good about getting it (Limited 6-speed coupe) for under $30,000. We would do it again without hesitation. We don't understand why they aren't selling better and regret the inevitability that they won't be built much longer. It seems like Chrysler falls short on marketing sometimes. (Our other car is a Pacifica and we feel they missed on that one too.)
