I thank everyone on this forum for helping me with what has become my 2nd major problem with my XF.
The first being the oil sensor. Instead of $700 at a dealer, I spent $300 and had a friend work on it.
This is such a helpful site I'd likely buy another XF just for how helpful everyone is.
