And yes rotation mass has far less to do with the handling of a car than static weigh, but as a recreational racer,as you put it (and I'm guessing autocross), I'm sure understand all the concepts of car setup and everything related to that Furthermore rims that are less than $800 per set are far more worry free than a set at $12,000. That's $11,200 that can go into the race program, and thanks for the news on the wheels that MM is working on I'm sure you will see those done real soon,do you believe everything you read on-line?..lots of talk little action.
As far as your sprinting analogy, first of all we do use lighter rims when sprinting (running time trial) but when we are racing we prefer something more like a hiking boot that can take a little more punishment, and when they do get damaged we can toss them in the trash without a second thought. Get off the couch and get out to the track then come back and talk to me, lots of people with a computer and couch think they know something about racing......especially if they read it on-line.
Speaking of simple concepts:
  1. You've had TWO "last posts"... quit being a girl, get composure, and just have a discussion.
  2. Forgestars are NOT $12,000. Please research before you speak and lecture me about not knowing facts
  3. BBS's new wheels are already taking orders for the GT-R program. Their 20x11 wheel is ~20 pounds. Again, research before you come across as an **** of epic proportions
  4. If you're at 9% body fat you would surely know that no runner on earth would use hiking boots for any speed-based competition when a sturdy Saucony is available. The Chinese replicas you are using are a gamble at best.
Please issue one more "last post" to tell me how clueless I am. While throwing those stones, please use spell-check -- it does wonders for the argument that you're an intellectual superior.
