Or with the proper tool.. read the ID of the individual TPMS sensors and with the EZ sensors you then program them to theses ID's.. They actually have a pad you set the new one on interfaced via usb to a computer.

I'm starting to think it might be a good idea to try to find a tire store that can pull the ID's from the sensors.. save that because when the sensor dies then the dealer will be the only way to get it reset to a new one.
