I have always marveled at how the name "Motorola" came about.

The awful thing is, once Galvin's son left Motorola in the early 2000's, there has been no Galvin family involvement since. Because of this, the company has lost it's soul - those in charge has no knowledge of, or respect for, the way they rose to fame and power and success.
I worked for independent Motorola dealerships for 29 years and can tell you that they have declared war on their own community. What a bunch of asses.
This was a large part of the reason I went to work for their biggest competitor - Kenwood.
