I looked at the Needswings cold air intake and thought it would be perfect. A month ago I asked if anyone had one for sale,cheap. I'll have my fabricator reproduce something similar. I agree on the oval shaped pipe and size. I am thinking of running the charge pipe from the intercooler in front of the radiator on the drivers side to the passengers side, then in through the inlet.
Having the charge pipe on drivers side would make the intercooler easier, but you have to deal with the steering gear and also have room for the oil line and oil return line. That would be nice if doable. Good luck with the project, I know it will work.
