Very true. A few years ago, after less than two weeks with our new Volvo V70, I kerbed the N/S/F - they were extra-cost 18 inchers (so I could get the lower profile P Zeros) - I was gutted so got a superb £60 refurb done immediately - a prefect match. Kept the car for three years and never touched another curb - learned my lesson. Then we recently changed to a new XC70 and after a few months it came back from its 3k inspection with a kerbed N/S/F! Thanks, Volvo stealership. These wheels are diamond cut, though - not such an easy fix.
Shame so many refurbers seem reluctant to diamond-cut SRT wheels - it seems they can't guarantee the cut surface will be corrosion-free for long - but if so, why offer the service? Is there something different about SRT wheels...?
