I use to really, really like the 427 Cobras. But I flat out loved the 289 version (probably because it came first). If they had never came out with the GTS, I probably would have wound up with a Cobra Daytona coupe kit car. Because I never knew they made the 289 style.
I asked you this once before, and I can't remember exactly what you said. Was the body on your old Cobra glass, or aluminium?
289 did not come first. The 260 with 260 horses (one of the earliest hp per ci cars) came first with an Edelbrock F4b manifold, try-y cast headers, I believe a minor cam, and a 4bbl.
