Patpur, thanks for your comments. I have had the car since Jan '05, and this is a six month renewal. The only change I made was to add a rider for coverage of a government vehicle. But that was a no cost option, according to my agent. I will call him tomorrow to find out what caused the hike. And, no tickets, and no claims in 23 three years...several warnings though but none in writing or on my record. When I purchased the XFire, my insurance actually went down $200 a year from my 2004 Grand Prix GTP.
