So before spending a lot of money on an intake from say..Needswings

I thought I'd ask on some opinons for a DIY intake , came across a video on YouTube of a DIY intake I guess it could be considered a short ram


I'm sure this set up yields >2% gains but any gain is welcome and I'm itching to do something with my xf
Purchasing a coupler and a filter would only cost me about $40 a large savings in cash over Needswings , about 400$ and no shipping costs haha
Of course getting an aftermarket eBay brand wouldn't hurt right ?
