My personal preference is the screen material. I like the looks of it over the solid Lexan. It is a personal choice as far as looks go. When you speak about performance, most of them don't block all of the wind and it doesn't stop all of the wind noise. When you purchase a convertible you must also be aware that you will have wind and wind noise to contend with. I don't think there is a product out there that will totally eliminate wind and wind noise.

You could wear one of those Formula 1 helmets and have Metallica cranked up loud in the earphones. That would look odd though.
Why not just do the IPOD and earplugs.
Who cares if you miss an occasional truck horn or train whistle .....
