BS pseudo sportscar???

If I'm not mistaken, as I can't put my fingers on the articles right now but, if memory serves me correctly... the Crossfire was never touted as a sports car or a GT when it was introduced. All the stuff I read, classified it as a "sporty touring car".

As for being a girly car, that's in the eye of the beholder. For most of us here, the car is what it is. You on the other hand, being an avid armature racer have a different idea of what the car should be. Of all the cars out there, if I may be so bold to ask... why did you buy it and then turn around start making a racer out of it when you must have known of it's MB SLK 320 heritage and the serious lack of tuner parts?

From what I've read here, you are the most extreme on this forum that is serious on rebuilding your Crossfire and trying to make a true race car. And, that is not a bad thing if that's what you want to do with your car. I even remember a post awhile back where you really got down on folks because of them wanting to squeeze more HP but lacked interest in getting on the race track with you or any other track for that matter.

Anyway, the Crossfire is many things to many people and I have mine to enjoy as you have yours. The Crossfire being labeled a sporty cruiser, a GT, a race car, or even a girly car does not play into how I look at it. Good luck with your car and yes, I look forward to reading and watching the clips of your racing adventures. Heck, if I could afford it, maybe I'd be out there with you.

Oh, I just noticed... you're a moderator here now. Congrats. Does that mean you have been in touch with the site owner, has the ownership changed hands?
