As it turns out, that switch is in the latch assembly itself, if your body striker hoop is not adjusted high enuff, your latch on your liftgate will not push all the way up into the second notch on your liftgate latch, and your light WILL NOT go out. As soon as i adjusted it, it worked flawlessly! Thanx all!
