thanx for the link to the service manual. I will save it to my desktop as suggested. I have fixed the dome light! As it turns out, that switch is in the latch assembly itself, if your body striker hoop is not adjusted high enuff, your latch on your liftgate will not push all the way up into the second notch on your liftgate latch, and your light WILL NOT go out. As soon as i adjusted it, it worked flawlessly! Thanx all!
Another happy satisfied owner! I make it a point to remind everyone to please come back and let everyone know if what was bothering you and your XF was fixed/repaired. Sometimes, the loop isn't closed, and we don't know if any particular suggestion either fixed, or caused you to bring it to a mechanic (many attempts to fix things tent to drive someone to take her in, so to speak).
