But, I thought the displacement of the engine was the exterior size of the engine not the total volume of the crank/pistons. You know, it displaces 3.2L when its volume is totalized? Only way I can think of adding .6L is to make the heads larger and of course many internals then have to be upsized to make it all work. So, is it like the 318CI Chrysler of old made into a 360CI of old with the same block but bigger heads? BTW, the example I noted was the 1972 Plymouth Fury III I owned with a 360, my uncle had a 1971 Fury II with a 318CI. We both had the same block just upsized heads/internals. I am guessing the 3.8L vs the 3.2L's are the same block (essentially) with larger heads/internals?
