Mine is a N/A 6 speed with 82000 miles. It has a new CPS (not a Bosch, however). I have not inspected the RCM yet, but that will come while it's down for the winter. What would be a likely culprit? Fuel filter, Bad RCM solder joint, ....?

Bad connection somewhere. This will be quite hard to trace as it is the nature of intermittent connection problems are the bane of any competent troubleshooter. Most just throw parts at it until they either give up, get sued, or magically fix it by process of elimination!
