Not trying to hijack this thread, but this may be related ....... You posted in the past that the 2004 Crossies have the fancy rear view mirror, but do not have "heated" washer jets. You did state that 2005s and up, weren't given the fancy rear mirror, but were given "heated" jets. I have a 2005 that doesn't have heated jets, and not even a wired-in fuse location for them. Just wondering if anybody in Crossfire land has them. Someone else found a post on a SLK forum that discussed the jet overheating and melting some of the plastic and the need to drill out the jet. (I'm not advising this action) Did MB just not give us heated jets? Just asking .....
The 2005 Service manual mentions heated nozzles. The 2004 manual does not mention them.

² Heated Washer Nozzle Thermoswitch - The thermoswitch is mounted to the under side of the cowl grille.
