Also, if you do my "always hot" mod* to the cigarette lighter/glove box lamp, you'd have constant 12 volts without the key on AND without running any wires!
(Well, ok not sure how easy it would be to get to the cig lighter/glove box lamp wiring, never tried. My mod is done totally in the fuse box under the hood on the driver's side)

I tapped into the radio, as I want it off when I'm not in the car. The power feed to the radio is fused, so I didn't bother wiring in another one.
