Agreed.. you never know .. that one phone call could have been a good 200 post before all was said and done! I know I studied the wiring information on here for quite a while before upgrading mine.. the simplicity of "normal" install keeps trying to surface while decoding ours.. LOL.
I have tried 3 different aftermarket HU's in mine : Alpine, Sony, Blaupunct
In each case, I printed out the Crossfire HU to AMP page from the manual's PDF, then the wiring for each unit from the owner's manual. I taped them together and connected all the dots before going to the workbench with each radio and the Crossfire Schoshe adapter cable.
Always worked for me !
