Cummulative knowledge.. gotta love it.. since I ran my bass canon amp to full time Hot on the battery.. you can actually do about the same thing there.. I used a clothes hanger from the inside behind the glove box and taped my hot lead to it and pulled back through..But since your mounting a guage to the drivers side area, that is probably your best bet..
