Take a look at the filter and let me know if you think it was changed 2k miles ago.

They might have changed the oil, did you ask them to change the filter too? I would expect a dealership to cut corners but it would not surprise me they did the oil and not the filter (maybe the tech couldn't even find the filter).

Did you look at the oil when you picked the car up?

WTH is that all over that filter? Looks like SAND!

If I were you, I would go over that car with a fine toothed comb and then change the oil again in about 500 miles. I might also find one of those oil testing labs at about the 450 mile mark on the new oil change you just did, and hope there isn't anything abnormal in there. Did you save a sample of the oil you drained out? If you have it (uncontaminated) get it analyzed immediately.

Sad all around on this one...
