I have the same type battery on my Vulcan 1500 and it has sat for 3 weeks at a time and would then fire right up. Coarse there's nothing on the bike to drain the bat like the car does. I've even seen where they have been mounted behind the passenger seat freeing up the space for a Killer Chiller tank, Meth, NOX or what ever your flavor. They are totally maint. free and spill proof and can even be mounted upside down!
At one time they were good enough that Rob was carrying them @ Needswings, but I don't see them there anymore. Been meaning to ask Rob if there was a reason why. He even used to sell a custom LED pad made specifically for this battery...

They are probably more popular with the racers because of the huge weight savings, but it has been no problem at all replacing the heavy OEM Varta. I put a thick rubber pad under it and use a nylon strap with hooks on the ends that are made for marine batteries to hold it in place.
And as a testiment to how good it's been, the car has cranked up perfectly since new!
Thanks, I was considering getting that one eventually but I now have a beater car got commuting and won't necessarily drive the Crossfire everyday but sounds like that might not be a problem
